When she was in the 3rd grade, Shawn Dettenmaier watched her friend across the street lose her house. She watched the marshals put her friends' belongings on the curb and was devastated to see this- moments later, she asked her parents if she could give people home for Christmas . While they couldn't afford to supply homes, they did decide to supply 'Christmas' to people who didn't have a home.
